Welcome! Here is what we offer and how we can help you:

Employment and service choices. Our employment service array includes Direct Hire for full or part time paid positions, paid or non-paid Internships, Mentoring opportunities, and more. There is no fee to hire a WorkLink candidate. We also offer workforce diversity consulting, and a variety of customized educational workshops for managers, employees, and human resource professionals.

Needs assessment. Whether we are presenting candidates for employment or providing an onsite workshop, it is important for us to understand your business needs. Our service starts with an assessment of your current and/or future hiring goals, and together we map out a path for meeting your goals.

Strengthen your organization's diversity commitment with a new employee. WorkLink offers a full-service hiring scenario in which you decide how much, or how little, assistance you want with the process. When an available opportunity within your organization is identified, we will present you with the resume and interview summary of a qualified candidate. We may occasionally share appropriate candidate resumes with you proactively. We are happy to manage the interview process for you, including checking additional employment references, or you can contact the candidate directly and take care of the details internally. We invite you to share your accommodation concerns with us, so that the hiring process is comfortable for both you and your new employee.

Our candidates - your employees. Our candidate pool includes individuals with business degrees, technical certifications, and professional experience, as well as retail and clerical jobseekers. Some of our jobseekers have recently received undergraduate or graduate degrees and are looking for their first professional opportunity. Some of our jobseekers have a wealth of employment experience, but have been downsized. Others are newly disabled and are re-entering the workforce.

We recruit new graduates from local universities and colleges. Jobseekers are also referred to us by employment resource centers such as San Francisco's One-Stop Career Center, and government agencies such as the Department of Rehabilitation.

A member of our Workforce Consultant team meets with jobseekers individually to discuss their professional experience and goals in depth. A job search action plan is developed, which includes tools such as company research, computer learning or other training/educational resources, and resume/cover letter writing. Our Consultants also assess the jobseeker's needs and help employers create an accessible workspace for the new employee.

Case-by-case consulting and customized workshops. If you have questions regarding an existing employee who has a disability, we would be happy to work with you and your employee to create a workspace solution.

WorkLink also provides a variety of workshops that are customized to meet your informational needs. Topics include:

  • Working with colleagues and serving customers who have a disability
  • Interviewing job candidates with disabilities: How to make the hiring process effective as well as comfortable
  • How to actively increase diversity recruiting outcomes for your organization
  • Taking a look at technical and non-technical solutions that make workspaces WORK

Make an impact - join our Internship or Mentor program! The Internship Program is either paid or non-paid, and length is determined on a case-by-case basis. The Internship Program is a great way for your company to help jobseekers gain meaningful on-the-job experience while providing you with the opportunity to evaluate a potential employee. The Intern's responsibilities are created according to the needs of your team or department. Usually, the project starts at a pretty basic level and then grows as your Intern becomes more adept at the work being performed.

Participating in WorkLink's Mentor Program introduces jobseekers to your business and provides them with real time answers to their career-related questions. Each Mentor module lasts from five to ten business days.
