Welcome! We offer a variety of customized jobseeker services.

How does it work?

The first step is your referral. Either your college/university or the government agency you are working with can refer you to WorkLink.

Once your information is received, you are connected with the Workforce Consultant who can best help you with your job search. You will need to complete our Request for Services, which includes things such as the type of work you are looking for and what kind of work experience you have had. The information that you provide on the Request for Services from helps set expectations for the type of assistance you want from WorkLink.

Here are some of the ways we can help you with your job search:

Job search action plans. Together with one of our Workforce Consultants, you will map out a job search action plan. The amount of assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis. Some jobseekers have an existing resume that needs nothing more than a minor tweak here or there. Other individuals are starting from scratch and wish to have step-by-step assistance with many different parts of the job search process, such as resume and cover letter writing, company research, job search tools, and interview coaching.

Resume and cover letter assistance. Whether it is a minor change or a complete rewrite, our Workforce Consultants are here to help you with your resume. We know how important it is for your resume to stand out from the crowd - and we can help you get there. Did you know that a customized cover letter is needed each time you send your resume in response to a job posting? We can help you translate your accomplishments and experiences into what employers want for specific jobs.

Job search tools. There are many tools available for jobseekers - get to know them with WorkLink. We teach you how to utilize a variety of job search tools, such as job postings on the Internet or networking your way to an opportunity. We can also help you with setting goals, keeping records, and tracking follow-up on your job search progress.

Interview coaching. Be proud of yourself - your resume has caught the attention of a hiring manager or human resource professional, and you've been invited to an interview. This is truly an accomplishment - and we're here to help you make the most of your opportunity. We will prepare you for either the one-to-one or the panel interview. You play the part of the jobseeker, and our Workforce Consultants create a realistic interview scenario for you. Afterwards, we provide detailed, personal feedback to help you do a great job at your real interview. We'll ask the tough questions and prepare you for practically anything. You will be provided with a variety of smart questions to ask at your interview, and we will also teach you how to close an interview so you know where you stand.

Onsite assistance. Congratulations! If you have recently accepted an offer of employment or are currently working and would like assistance with creating an accessible workspace, we can help you and your employer. If an accessible workspace is an issue at any time during your interview or hiring process, we are here to answer questions that you or your employer may have.
