TransCen, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Founded in 1986, TransCen has more than three decades of experience advancing meaningful work and full community participation through direct services, training and technical assistance, research, and systems change.
Our work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief:
Disability should never be a barrier to employment, opportunity, or belonging.
We provide direct services, training, technical assistance, and research-driven solutions. Our partners include job seekers, families, employers, educators, and workforce systems to expand competitive integrated employment, strengthen transition services, and turn evidence-based practices into real-world impact.
At TransCen, we turn ideas into action. We translate research, policy, and promising practices into real-world results for youth and adults with disabilities. We start with person-directed planning that centers individual strengths, while building the capacity of professionals and aligning partners across education, workforce, and rehabilitation systems. By translating evidence into practical tools and continuously measuring impact, we strengthen people and systems to create sustainable pathways to meaningful employment and community participation.
