NTACT’s monthly webinar series in May focused on Work Based Learning and Work Experiences and was presented by TransCen associates Dale Verstegen and Amy Dwyre D’Agati. The webinar described the types and purposes of work-based learning and work experiences and how they can lead to competitive integrated employment. Also presented were the functions of a work experience and the primary benefits to students and employers. The webinar defined the responsibility of students, teachers, Vocational Rehabilitation counselors and employers during work experiences and what constitutes a quality work experience.
