TransCen’s Mid-Atlantic ADA Center is hosting the 25th Annual Mid-Atlantic ADA Update in Tysons, Virginia, September 4 through September 6, 2018. The Mid-Atlantic ADA Update is the region’s leading conference on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The conference features speakers from federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the U.S. Access Board, as well as experts from state and local government, businesses, non-profits, and universities. The conference offers a variety of breakout sessions on topics such as business responsibilities and best practices, disability employment, accessible technology, healthcare access, and ADA implementation in state and local government, including corrections and law enforcement agencies.
This year’s keynote speaker is Claudia Gordon, director of Government and Compliance at Sprint Accessibility and former Obama Administration official.
