The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has awarded over $200,000 to TransCen that will help improve home and community-based services for people who have disabilities. The funding comes under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
“These grants provide immediate support to our direct care workers who work tirelessly to ensure some of our most vulnerable residents have the services and supports they need to live independently in their communities,” said DHS Secretary-designee Karen Timberlake.
The grant, part of $12 million given to 43 organizations in the state, will have a positive impact on the direct care workforce.
TransCen is honored to receive the grant.
